Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Life Enrichment Manager to join our team. This role is essential for the strategic development, ongoing growth, and overall coordination of the Life Enrichment programs at Assisi Heights. The Life Enrichment team promotes the philosophy and values of the Sisters of Saint Francis with behavior that reflects their Mission to ensure quality of life for the Sisters in their home, including person centered care and aging in place philosophy.
Essential functions includes:
- Leading the Life Enrichment and volunteer staff in planning and implementing life enrichment programs that are tailored to the needs of the Sisters at Assisi Heights
- Interacting with Sisters to foster relationships
- Develops procedures pertaining to Life Enrichment in collaboration with the team
- Works collaboratively with members of the healthcare staff and volunteers
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages participation from all residents, including those with dementia or disabilities.
- Assures proper communication of activities on in-house calendar
- Maintain accurate records of participation and outcomes related to life enrichment initiatives.
Experience
- Proven experience in senior care settings such as independent living, assisted living, skilled care and memory care
- Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy or related field preferred
- Knowledge of the physical, cognitive, spiritual and psychococial needs of older adults and the ability to adapt activities accordingly
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members.
