Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota has openings at our Rochester Community Warming Center (RCWC). RCWC is a low-barrier emergency shelter for adults, 18 and older, experiencing homelessness. Individuals who stay at the RCWC are given a safe and warm place to sleep, access to a hot meal & drink, showers, and laundry.
We are currently hiring for 2 positions:
1 - PT Intake Shelter Advocate
- 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM/12:30AM
- 2-3 shifts per week, every other weekend, may include some holidays
- Opportunity to pick up extra hours
- $19.00 per hour
1 - Overnight Shetler Advocate
- 10-hour shift, 9:30 PM to 7:30AM
- 2-3 shifts per week, every other weekend, may include some holidays
- Opportunity to pick up extra hours
- $19.00 per hour
All positions require:
- A High School diploma or GED
- Experience in human services or related field preferred
- Interested applicants must be capable of empathetic and professional relationship building
- Advocating for diverse client needs and interests
- Have the ability to de-escalate situations
- Multi-task and must work well under pressure
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass a background check
