WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Schedules surgeries, appointments, tests, and procedures in person or by phone, using Electronic Health Record; coordinates external vendors, multiple physicians, including anesthesia support as required.
Coordinates insurance including verification of coverage and obtaining prior authorization as required.
Balances the schedule to support the need for elective cases and add on cases daily.
Submits the update scheduling changes to various departments to ensure accuracy to appropriate times allotted for each case.
Prepares data, including case information, and provide reports, as required or requested.
Assist nursing units, FPN offices in completing schedule requirements and making corrections or adjusting schedules on a daily basis as needed.
Submits charges for accurate and timely billing, as required.
Effectively communications and coordinates all cases coming and going between patient families, clinical areas, providers, FPN offices and others as needed.
Submits the daily on-call schedule.
This is a day shift position. Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's Degree- Preferred
High School Diploma/GED- Required
1 year Healthcare/Patient Care- Required
2 years Experience in Healthcare- Preferred
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
Never or Rarely
