As our student population grows, St. Thomas is looking for enthusiastic candidates to fill a 2nd grade teaching position with an individual who values their faith and is driven to help students grow in theirs. :
Applicants must work to fulfill the mission of St. Thomas by instilling in students a capacity for Christ, Compassion, and Character, helping them grow in Mind, Body, and Spirit. Candidates must hold a valid, Indiana teaching license and have a strong understanding of best practices in education. :
Those interested must be ambitious, seeking regular professional development and opportunities for growth. Teachers should be willing to take risks - pushing students to achieve at the highest levels. Candidates must be outgoing, willing to build positive relationships between students, parents, administrators, and all stakeholders at St. Thomas.:
Applicants should understand how to lesson-plan using differentiated instruction and varied modalities. Classroom management skills and strategies should also be well understood. A familiarity with technology is preferred but not required.
