Job Summary:
To assist the production team at the St. Paul Center in updating the "Letters from Home" podcast on the daily scripture readings so that these podcasts can be reused on future dates in the same liturgical year.
Details:
Position: Digital Audio Production Assistant
Time Commitment: contract based work; hours are flexible so long as daily reflections are completed ahead of their needs throughout the year. Namely:
January reflections before Dec 13th
February & March before January 31st
All subsequent recordings 60+ days ahead of date
# of episodes to edit: 600
Compensation: negotiable, per episode
Location: Steubenville, OH or Remote
Primary Tasks:
Review existing "Letters from Home" scripture podcasts and edit to allow the recordings to work for any future date that has those readings.
For example - if a feast day fell on a particular day when we initially recorded an episode, and we reference that feast day in the recording, we would need to pull out that reference as we wouldn't have the feast day falling on that date each year.
Requirements:
Experienced use of and access to Adobe Audition to edit files
Experience in waveform editing, noise reduction and audio mastering basics preferred.
Excellent communication, project management and independent working skills.
Knowledgeable about the Catholic church's liturgical year and sacred scripture.
