Please note: The role described below is a self-funded role. Much like FMC's foreign missionaries must raise nancial support before being sent out to the nations, the successful applicant for this role will also have to fundraise his or her entire salary.

Position Overview:
As part of the Missions Department, The Missionary Vocations (MV) Team plays a pivotal role in FMC's mission, guiding individuals and families through the journey of discerning their calling as foreign missionaries. Reporting to the MV Manager, in this role as MV Facilitator, you will be responsible for leading candidates in discernment through the inquiry, application, and acceptance processes, and preparing newly accepted missionaries for Intake. This involves corresponding with candidates, managing their information and facilitating their interviews, organizing Discernment Weeks, and supporting newly accepted missionaries in practical preparations for their arrival for Intake.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Respond efficiently to inquiries from prospective missionaries.
Manage and update candidate information, providing discernment guidance and support to individuals and families throughout the application and acceptance processes.
Prepare, organize, and help facilitate Discernment Weeks, coordinating with key staff.
Collaborate with the Missionary Vocations Manager and other team members in the acceptance process and communicate decisions to candidates."
Provide personalized support to newly accepted missionaries, including monthly calls and guidance on fundraising, in preparation for Intake.
Work with the Media Team and Missions Advancement Department on promotional strategies, social media, blogs, mission trips, and events to attract potential missionaries.
Communicate with key team members and departments to support the transition of newly accepted missionaries from discernment to Intake.
Skills and Qualifications Needed:
Passion for and understanding of the Great Commission, and an overall desire to see the poor and lost served and reached.
Strong interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and pastoral approach to guiding individuals.
Experience in missions, ministry, or a similar field, with a deep understanding of missionary life.
Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage applications and Discernment Week logistics.
Ability to work collaboratively with Vocations Manager and other departments.
Adaptability and problem-solving skills to address unique candidate needs and implement workflow improvements.
Experienced working in Google Workspace applications (preferred)
Compensation, Commitment, and Benefits:
This position is a support-based role dependent upon self-funding. Training and coaching will be available for personal support-raising for this position. A deep overall commitment to the mission and vision of FMC is imperative as you will be one of the first lines of contact with our new prospective missionaries.
As full compensation for all services provided, the expected monthly salary range is $30,000-$ 40,000 per year.
Such payments shall be subject to such normal statutory deductions by FMC
As mentioned above, compensation at the aforementioned rate will be dependent upon the Coordinator successfully fundraising his/her salary.
