Title: Technology Assistant/Database Analyst
Reports to: Technology Coordinator
Job Goal: This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to school staff for the use of the student database as well as other software and hardware resources of the school.

Performance Responsibilities
Provide School Information System (SIS) Support
Act as the school’s primary Student Information System Administrator (FACTS-SIS); perform administrative tasks relative to school operations, manage SIS users, permissions, schedules, and grade books.
Provide a point of contact and assist in the flow of information as needed for SIS users across all departments in day-to-day operations.
Coordinate training for users including staff and parents when new features are released.
Act as a vendor liaison.
Configure Google Classroom integration with SIS classroom gradebooks.
North Campus Daily Operations
Collaborate with the Technology Coordinator to prioritize tasks.
Assist students and staff in accessing instructional software and use of computer hardware resources.
Provide hands-on assistance and training as needed
Perform troubleshooting procedures to diagnose basic software and computer hardware problems.
Maintain building technology equipment inventory.
Provide classroom equipment to support curriculum delivery, instruction on its use, troubleshooting and resolution of related issues.
Participate in study and training as necessary to update knowledge of technology as it applies to this position; perform related work as required.
Coordinate Application and E-Resource Access
Provide a point of contact for user access to the curriculum electronic materials.
Interface with appropriate groups/contacts for problem reporting and resolution.
User onboarding/offboarding/maintenance and rostering for school-wide applications; Office 365- ID creation, new user groups, new distribution lists; Google Workspace, GoGuardian, Papercut, Zoom, Sign-up Genius, Clever, FAX Medius, STAR/Renaissance.
Manage STAR/Renaissance assessment tool.
User onboarding and rostering for curriculum subscriptions and teaching tools.
Other
Supports requests for event A/V setup.
Manage user access to the school’s Michigan Virtual Learning account.
Assist in software evaluation and selection.
Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters.
Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits.
Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Diocese.
Job Qualifications
Must have excellent communication skills and relate well to students and teachers.
Organized, flexible, and willing to participate in training to keep up to date with technology.
Able to teach faculty, staff, and students in an educational setting.
Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously and responding to emergencies.
Skill in organizing and relating information in an understandable format.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Google Suite.
Working Conditions
Required to work some nights and weekends.
Required to manage moderate to high levels of stress.
Required to work in standard classroom, office, and school conditions.
Mental/Physical Demands
Required to lift or carry furniture, equipment, and supplies.
Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, and pull daily.
Required to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and reading.
