POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager of Student Employment and Operations fosters a culture of personal vocation through the leadership of the Student Work Opportunity Program (SWOP) and supports the mission of the Office for Personal Vocation through financial management. The Manager provides coaching, training, and other meaningful engagements with students as they discern their careers and other aspects of their personal vocations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage operations of the Student Work Program, leveraging on campus student employment to develop career competencies and provide internship opportunities for students. Manage student employee onboarding in payroll system, maintain student employee records; initiate and facilitate bi-weekly payroll; troubleshoot student employment process; prepare reports and analyze data. Coordinate supervisor and student employee communication and training. Organize and execute the Job Fair and other student employment events and initiatives. Enforce SWOP policy and compliance with state and federal regulations. Coordinate Community Service Tutoring Program. Serve as liaison with Administrative accounting, Financial Aid, ITS, and Human Resources regarding student employment.
2. Account for, track, and prepare reports on budgets, revenues and expenses for Missionary Outreach and other Personal Vocation departments. Process requisitions and payments, purchasing card documents, and other financial paperwork. Serve as liaison with Administrative Accounting, Business Services and with external vendors.
3. Provide coaching, training, and other services to students related to career and internship exploration and preparation.
4. Manage office operations and provide administrative support to the dean for Personal Vocation and to other Personal Vocation staff.
5. Hire, train, and supervise student assistants and interns.
6. Develop and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with students, staff, faculty, employers, and alumni.
7. Other assigned duties that advance the goals of Franciscan University and the Office for Personal Vocation.

REQUIREMENTS
Must understand, support, and embrace the mission of Franciscan University of Steubenville and possess the following:
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Office 365 applications, especially Excel, Word, and Forms.
• Proficiency in using virtual communication platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams) for meetings and communications.
• Proficiency or experience in web-based career services applications including Handshake and LinkedIn is desired.

Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1-3 years' experience working in a collaborative, fluid office environment.
• 1-3 years' experience developing and managing financial, payroll, or other business systems.
• 1-3 years' experience collecting, analyzing, manipulating, and presenting data.
• 1-3 years' experience working with high school students or young adults.
Workplace Factors
• Some evenings and weekends required.
