The Assistant Registrar supports all services relating to enrollment, academic records, and the administrative functioning of the Graduate School of Theology. Further, the Assistant Registrar will execute the development and functioning of the Open Classroom non-degree program.
The Assistant Registrar is a full-time, salaried (exempt) employee reporting to the Assistant Dean/Registrar.
Administrative Functions of the Graduate School
Efficiently and courteously respond to student inquiries via email and telephone. Respond daily (Monday through Friday). Maintain communication - by telephone and email - to encourage steady progress towards graduation. Assist students and support faculty advisors in degree requirements and consultation on their individual path to completion.
Serve as a Financial Aid counselor and respond to student questions on billing, scholarships, and loan services.
Assist with the preparation and mailing of diplomas, official transcripts, educational evaluations, and loan deferment requests.
Assist with the event planning of the annual Matriculation and Commencement Exercises, on-campus and distance orientations, student move-in, including all administrative functions as needed.
Assist with the on-campus and distance student communication strategy, including maintaining communication with students who are on a leave-of-absence.
Assist with servicing the library, including intake and updates.
Assist with other administrative functions of the Graduate School, including events and hospitality, classroom scheduling, and other support as needed.
Open Classroom Management
Plan and execute matters necessary for the registration and billing of students in Open Classroom, including updating course listings and book lists, designing the LMS portal, managing all registration data in Populi, and all communication required for the promotional and registration process.
Process and track changes in learner status (add/drop) throughout the year and seek learner feedback.
Review all Open Classroom courses for functionality, user experience, and work closely with the Assistant Dean/Registrar, Studios Team, and faculty on the timely publication of courses.
Work closely with the Assistant Dean/Registrar to contribute to the strategic partner relationships and satisfaction as well as contribute to innovative insights for the growth of the Open Classroom non-degree offerings.
