Catholic Charities of East Tennessee Children's Emergency Shelter (CES) is looking for caring individuals to provide supervision and assistance to children removed from the home due to various circumstances including suspicion of abuse or neglect. CES offers a home-like environment until arrangements can be made with family members. The children range in ages newborn through 17 years and stay up to 10 days. The Emergency Shelter Services Case Management Assistant will assist the Case Management team in providing direct services to clients at the Children's Emergency Shelter and/or Samaritan Place in accordance with agency policy and procedures and accepted industry practices. Case Management Assistants are may be assigned primarily to one location, but are cross-trained for both shelters.
The Case Manager Assistants will work closely with Case Managers to ensure proper intake procedures and ensure the safety and well-being of children in our care.
The ideal candidates will have experience in childcare or working with children in the school system. All candidates must complete DCS requirements, including pass a criminal background screening, fingerprinting, obtain F-endorsement and provide a statement of health from a medical provider.
Retention Bonus: $500 after 120 days in good standing
Job Type: Full-Time | 35 - 40 Hours
Salary: $16.00 per hour
Open Shifts:
Second Shift | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Third Shift | 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
PRN - As needed

Job Requirements:
- Must be able to lift infants and toddlers weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Must hold a valid driver license with an F-endorsement and maintain a clean driving record
- Must be flexible and able to work occasional alternate shifts including weekends, weekdays, and holidays
- Must be willing to travel if required
- Must maintain any training and certification requirements
- Must embody our organization's mission and culture through behavior and daily interactions
- Regular and predictable on-site attendance is required
