Description:
Sacred Heart Academy Redlands is seeking a dedicated Preschool Aide for the 2024-2025 school year. Under the direction of the preschool teacher and the principal, the preschool aide will assist in delivering and supporting instructional lessons aligned with the California Common Core standards-based curriculum and the Diocese of San Bernardino standards for early childhood education.
Requirements/Duties:
- Create, engage, and support an effective Catholic environment where all students can and will learn, including assisting with differentiation and classroom management.
- Demonstrate success working with early childhood and/or primary grade students and be a team player with colleagues, grade-level teachers, and staff.
- Assist in organizing subject matter for student learning.
- Be well-organized, highly energetic, and deeply caring.
- Support the planning and implementation of a rigorous academic curriculum in line with the Common Core and Archdiocesan standards.
- Collaborate with parents/families as needed.
- Use technology to enhance and strengthen student learning.
- Support the use of Onward Readers’ material to assist student literacy and attend all Onward Readers’ professional development sessions.
- Communicate professionally with staff and administration regularly, especially to share plans, projects, and information.
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher to meet job requirements and duties.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with early childhood students (ages 4-5)
- Criminal justice fingerprint clearance, TB test clearance
- 12 Core Units in Early Child Education-- Child Growth and Development, Child, Family and Community,Introduction to Curriculum, Health, Safety and Nutrition of Children
- Immunization Record
- Measles
- Pertussis
- Flu shot (Yearly)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
