The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
To promote the mission and direct the overall vision and activities of the Center through the various offerings of programs and services.
- Preparation of the Center’s publications, fundraisers and regular, cyclical projects such as the Testimonial Dinner and planning for the Archdiocesan Weekend during the Dr. Martin Luther King National Holiday.
- Be the liaison between the public, Lwanga Center volunteers and the accountability and processes of the Center’s current youth ministry concerns including the Kujenga Program, Confirmation Preparation Program when scheduled, preparation of the Martin Luther King Model of Justice Youth Awards process.
- Collaborate with the Administrative Assistant in clerical support.
- Assist with operations and development of programs as needed.
- Practicing Christian, Catholic preferred who is registered and active in a parish of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of St. Louis.
- Competency in standardized computer process including Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheets.
- Two or more years of college education, bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
- Trained in pastoral ministry, catechesis, and some theology.
- The ability to demonstrate a level of professional writing skills, helpful for reviewing and editing documents.
- A clear understanding of the mission and purpose of the St. Charles Lwanga Center.
- Demonstrated service in the African American Community.
- Experienced in Spiritual Formation and leadership development.
- Familiarity with Archdiocesan policies and procedures preferred
- Good working knowledge of processing statistical data, financial in particular
