St. Patrick Center provides opportunities for self-sufficiency and dignity to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Working collaboratively with individuals, businesses, government and other service providers, St. Patrick Center will end chronic homelessness in the St. Louis region through Housing First, an evidence-based practice that tells us to remove barriers, do intake and assessment early, move people into housing and offer them support to achieve their goals.
St. Patrick Center, a ministry of Catholic Charities, is hiring a Donor Engagement Coordinator. The coordinator is part of the Philanthropy team and reports to the Donor Engagement Manager. The Donor Engagement Coordinator is responsible for raising unrestricted funds through donor engagement activities. The Coordinator will secure gifts for St. Patrick Center by cultivating, stewarding and retaining a portfolio of mid-level donors, while also identifying those donors who can move into increased levels of giving. The core working hours at St. Patrick Center is Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. The salary range is $40,000 to $50,000.
- Nurture assigned portfolio donors ($500 - $999.99) and utilize the moves management process with a focus on retaining donors, upgrading gifts and acquiring new donors.
- Proactively develop and cultivate donors to strengthen their relationship with SPC through events, volunteering, and annual giving opportunities.
- Engage new donors in stewardship plan to connect them with SPC and educate on opportunities to get more involved with SPC.
- Assist the Manager with annual Donor Appreciation events and weekly thank you calls.
- Ensure donor recognition and appreciation is appropriately occurring at all levels of giving including events sponsors and event attendees.
- Participate weekly in meaningful donor communication (personal visits, engaging phone conversation or significant email engagement).
- Ensure entry of correspondence and other touches with donors and prospects into the donor database.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Highschool diploma or GED required.
- One or more years’ experience in non-profit fundraising, and/or similar experience that includes relationship building skills and customer service.
- Strong computer literacy required, demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft products and Raisers Edge NXT.
- Working knowledge of, or willingness to learn and practice, donor stewardship techniques.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Able to work independently and be responsible for professional deadlines.
- Strong team member, working well with staff, volunteers, and other professionals.
REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS IN JOB
- Must be willing to participate in evening or weekend events.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
