As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks a Student Success and Intervention Coordinator to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by developing and implementing strategies that support student success, student retention, and institutional effectiveness. The Student Success and Intervention Coordinator is a self-starter with strong organizational skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.
- Develop and implement interventions and proactive support strategies for students encountering academic difficulties and students who have been identified as at-risk
- Work with multiple departments to develop and implement retention initiatives and services
- Monitor, train and report on SPARK and Academic Early Warning
- Coordinate and assess academic success coaching for probationary and waived-ineligible students
- Create interventions and programming for students provisionally admitted, students on probation and waived-ineligible students
- Review midterm grades and intervene as needed
- Work with multiple departments to develop and implement retention initiatives, programs, and services
- Lead the planning and facilitating of first-year programming during Welcome Week to increase students’ sense of belonging and engagement
- Lead and facilitate university’s registration campaign
- Routinely reviews and analyzes data for opportunities to improve student success and retention.
- Provide programming, support, resources, and outreach to students who are provisionally admitted to the university, including recruitment and implementation of Jump Start
- Assist in the development of content for the family newsletter
- Assist in development and facilitation of Family Weekend
- Other duties may be assigned
