Senior Editor
FAITH Catholic is seeking an individual with strong theological background and editorial skills and 5+ years of experience writing and editing Catholic-focused content. Individual will be responsible for writing and editing for Homiletic and Universal Prayer subscription products for clergy and parishes. Individual will also be responsible for developing and editing content on theology, the Catholic spiritual life and ways in which our faith influences our daily life. Theology degree required. Growth potential and management opportunities high.
The company is located in Lansing, Mich. Job can be done mostly remotely (with frequent on-camera Zoom contact). Must be able to travel to Lansing occasionally for meetings and/or training and for in-person interview.
Essential Job Duties
Subscription services and bulletin product
• Assist editorial director in editing daily Homilies and daily Universal Prayers products. Provide theological review
• Coordinate writing/editing/design of monthly Sunday reflections for bulletin subscription product
• Strict adherence to production schedules and print dates
FAITH syndicated content
• Working closely with editorial director in planning monthly syndicated content for clients
• Editing, writing and proofreading high-quality syndicated content as needed
• Coordinating with in-house graphic designer on content layout and images
• Strict adherence to production schedules and print dates
Qualifications
• Undergraduate Theology Degree required/Master's preferred: MA or MTS with strong Scripture or Liturgical/Homiletics concentration or formation, or MDiv
• 5+ years' experience writing and editing Catholic-focused content
• In-depth knowledge of Catholicism
• Detail oriented
Reports to: Editorial director
Salary commensurate with experience
