Assistant Principal/Curriculum Job Description
Location: Grosse Pointe Farms, MI, 48236
Job Summary:
The Assistant Principal/Curriculum is responsible for assisting the Principal in overseeing the development and implementation of the school's curriculum. This includes working with teachers to ensure alignment with state standards, assessing student progress, and providing professional development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement curriculum that meets state standards
- Assess student progress and provide support for struggling students
- Coordinate professional development opportunities for teachers
- Assist in the evaluation of teachers and staff
- Manage school-wide assessment data and use it to inform instructional decisions
- Communicate with parents and stakeholders about curriculum initiatives and student progress
- Assist in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification
- Previous experience in curriculum development and assessment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents
- Knowledge of state standards and educational best practices
