I. POSITION PURPOSE
This position exists to oversee the daily and long-term maintenance, construction/renovation programs/projects of Parish Family 52 (St Nicholas School, St Nicholas Church, St Gabriel Church, and Prince of Peace Church). Included is performing various maintenance activities, supervising the other part-time facilities staff, and coordinating related volunteer activities.
Ii. Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Identifies outside contractors, vendors and service providers and assists the DOO in negotiating contracts.
- Schedules and serves as the primary point of contact for any facilities related inspections. Ensures all required inspections are completed and requirements are met.
- Purchases maintenance related supplies and equipment as needed
- Oversees the on-going maintenance of buildings and grounds. Performs maintenance activities as needed. Oversees the cleaning and landscaping of the property.
- Assists the Pastor and DOO in determining the priority of maintenance, construction, and renovation projects. Yearly makes a recommendation what projects should be considered for the budget.
- Manages approved maintenance/ construction/renovation projects.
- Directs safety program.
- Provides direct supervision to the maintenance staff and volunteers.
- Works with the DOO to develop the annual parish family maintenance budget. Also, assists the DOO in building and maintaining the long-term maintenance plan for the parish family.
- Coordinates with custodial staff on maintenance related activities.
- Ensures facilities-related support for Parish family programs and special events.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for facilities related emergencies.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, as well as be able to troubleshoot issues. This role requires strong organization and the ability to manage multiple projects between two campuses. It also will require travel between
