Schedule: Full-Time - During the Fall and Spring semesters, this position may be required to work more hours, and less during the summer months. Occasional nights and weekends may be required.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Administrative and Outreach Coordinator schedules appointments with Health & Wellness clinicians; provides information to all walk-in patients; greets all visitors; receives and routes phone calls; and helps plan, organize, and assess programming and wellness opportunities under the direction of the Director. This position protects confidential medical records, and therefore patient confidentiality and privacy must be maintained at all times.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Receives and directs all phone calls to the department, including taking messages for staff who are not immediately available; maintains confidential records and online scheduling system.
• Assists in planning, organizing, and assessing programming and wellness outreach opportunities under the direction of the Director of Wellness Center and the Dean of Students.
• Orders dept. supplies and reconciles the purchase card balance monthly in counseling center and student life.
• Assists with student life projects and overflow in student life.
• Maintains social media outreach presence for counseling center and assigned student life departments.

REQUIREMENTS
Must understand, support, and embrace the mission of Franciscan University of Steubenville and possess the following:
Work Experience
• 2-3 years secretarial experience
• Experience working in a medical office preferred
Technical Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Ability to respect patient confidentiality and privacy in all interactions
• Ability to work in a multifaceted fast-paced environment

Education / Credentials
• High school or G.E.D. required
• Undergraduate, Trade, or Technical school desired

• Sitting or standing at workstation for hours at a time
