Job Purpose: The Marketing Coordinator's role is to reinforce the School's mission and sustain the School's brand and voice through internal and external communications. The coordinator's strengths must include a high level of written and oral communication skills, editing, digital and visual storytelling, creative content production, exceptional time-management skills, and capable of multitasking.
Faith, Community, and Dominican Charism
• Ensure that the four pillars of a Dominican education (prayer, study, community, preaching) are developed and promoted among the school community.
• Develop an active faith community and model Christian values.
• Support prayer and spiritual formation within the student, faculty/staff, and parent communities.
• Uphold and implement the Dominican charism and the Houston Dominican Sisters' congregational goals.
• Demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion by honoring the dignity of each member of the St. Agnes Academy community.
Main Responsibilities:
• Work with Admissions to develop seasonal and year-round marketing campaigns and recruitment strategies including:
o Conduct market research and identify new opportunities.
o Coordinate with admissions team to generate digital, video, and print advertising material.
o Assist with organizing and publicizing recruitment events.
o Develop strategic marketing initiatives and campaigns.
o Implement marketing plans that include print, broadcast and online content.
o Create branded advertising campaigns and support the marketing and design initiatives
by coordinating and collating content.
• Design visual and written content for electronic and traditional cards, invitations, brochures, and programs for school-related events to support school communications across multiple departments, including Advancement, Admissions, Spirit Store, and community events.
• Design and develop visual content for communications projects including news stories, flyers, posters, email graphics, banners, and other printed materials to support school communications across multiple departments, including Advancement, Admissions, Spirit Store, and community events.
• Manage and grow a strong presence across social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn,
Twitter and YouTube.
• Manage paid and sponsored content campaigns across various platforms and tools.
• Develop strategic marketing initiatives and campaigns across social media platforms.
o Content Creation: Develop and produce engaging content for social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn. This includes writing posts, designing graphics, capturing photos, and creating videos.
o Campaign Strategy: Work closely with the admissions team to plan, execute, and optimize social media campaigns that align with the school's objectives and voice.
o Audience Engagement: Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and foster positive interactions with followers to build a strong community.
o Trend Research: Stay current with industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to ensure content is fresh, relevant, and innovative.
o Analytics and Reporting: Track the performance of content through analytics tools, measure key metrics, and adjust content strategies accordingly to maximize reach and engagement.
o Collaboration: Work alongside appropriate admin, faculty and staff members, and students to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and campaign goals.
• Assist in SEO strategy including blog content writing, campaign creation, analytics, etc.
• Create and manage content and other electronic communications to enhance the visibility and brand identity of the School.
• Assist the Director of Communications in managing project timelines and executing communications needed for various school departments.
• Manage creative design and branding process for school presentations.
• Organize photos and work with archives
Qualifications
• Complete Safe Haven training
• 2+ years experience working in marketing and communications, creating content March 2025 and managing organizational social media channels
• Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skill; knowledge of AP style preferred
• Experience with content creation and graphic design
• Experience with content management systems such as Blackbaud
• Strong attention to detail and deadlines
• Must be capable of handling multiple projects at one time and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management and project management skills
• Comfort with video, web, and print production software
• Experience with taking photographs for publications
• Experience with photo editing software and video editing software
• Understanding basic photography
• Proficient in Adobe creative suite
• Commitment to the academic institution, mission, programs and future aspirations of St. Agnes Academy.
• Must provide 2-3 writing samples, graphic design and creative content samples
• Ability to understand, capture, tell and depict stories that convey the mission of St. Agnes Academy

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
