Coordinator of Youth Faith Formation - St. Bernard's Parish
The Coordinator of Youth Faith Formation is responsible for ensuring that middle and high school youth at St. Bernard's Parish have opportunities to encounter Jesus, grow in their Catholic faith, and live out their discipleship with joy and conviction.
Working under the guidance of the Director, the Coordinator engages youth where they are, fosters meaningful relationships, and creates a dynamic environment for personal and spiritual growth. This role requires collaboration with the Faith Formation Team, parish staff, volunteers, and parents to provide engaging catechesis, service opportunities, and community-building experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
Engaging Youth: Connecting with students to assess their faith formation needs and building trusting relationships.
Building a Core Team: Recruiting, training, and equipping adult volunteers to support youth ministry.
Communication & Outreach: Utilizing social media, parish media, and direct communication to engage youth and parents.
Personal & Professional Growth: Committing to ongoing faith formation and professional development.
The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic, passionate about youth discipleship, and skilled in leadership, organization, and communication. This role requires creativity, initiative, and a heart for evangelization to inspire young people in their journey of faith.
