The mission of the fifth-grade teacher is to provide faith formation and academic excellence for all students.

Job Summary

Prepare lesson materials, homework, assignments, tests and labs to meet the curriculum goals.
Submit weekly lesson plans
Attend and participate in all vertical team meetings, whole group staff meetings, team data meetings
Participate in the diocesan faith formation program for teachers
Use data to form instruction
Create an interactive classroom environment
Establish and maintain discipline and behavior expectations
Communicate regularly with parents
Post grades weekly and post homework daily
Attend daily Mass with students
Work collaboratively with grade level partner and learning support team
Participate in annual teacher evaluation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education
Illinois Board Certified

Working Conditions: All one floor
