Overview: Venerini Academy, an independent Catholic PreK-8 school, is seeking a visionary and faithdriven leader to serve as its next Principal. The Principal will provide strategic leadership andoperational oversight to ensure the continued growth and success of the Academy, whilemaintaining its commitment to excellence in education, faith formation, and communityengagement. Tothis end, the Principal will work collaboratively with teachers, staff, parents, communitymembers, and the Board of Trustees.Key Responsibilities: Instructional Leadership: Maintain a rigorous academic program that balances the intellectual,emotional, and spiritual development of each child. Work with the faculty and administration toensure curriculum development and alignment, implementation of innovative teachingstrategies, and use of effective assessment practices while providing a safe and respectfullearning environment that integrates Catholic values and teachings.Operational Management: Ensure the day to day operations of the school run smoothly.Collaborate with the Assistant Principal(s), Business Manager, Facilities Manager, Admissions,Advancement, and Technology Administrator to ensure the following: financial stability andeffectiveness; implementation of a long-term vision for the school building and grounds;increased enrollment and retention of students; innovative strategies for fundraising/marketingsuch as annual campaigns, growth of the donor base, securing grants and/or philanthropicdonations; and integration of technology in classrooms and administrative functions.Staff Supervision and Development: Recruit, hire, evaluate, and provide mentoring andprofessional development opportunities for teachers and other staff members.Community Building: Cultivate a positive, collaborative and inclusive school culture. Engagewith families, alumni, and the broader community to build strong relationships and enhance theschools reputation.Board Relations: Report to and collaborate with the Trustees to ensure the schools goals areachieved and long-term sustainability is maintained. Participate in Board meetings and providestrategic guidance on key issues facing the school.Qualifications and Experience: Education: Masters degree in Educational Leadership or related field.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching or administration in a PreK-8/elementary setting, preferably in an independent or Catholic school.Licensure: Valid Massachusetts Principals License or eligibility for licensure.Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills, including strong communication andinterpersonal skills, knowledge of curriculum and instruction, proficiency in data analysis, andexperience with school improvement initiatives/strategic plans.
In addition, the ability to workcollaboratively to build a positive school culture with a diverse population of students, parents,and staff is crucial.Additional Competencies: Familiarity with the operational needs and governance of aindependent, private Catholic Pre-K-8 school is preferred, along with strong financial
