Posting Title: VSL Postdoctoral Researcher Overview:
The primary function of the NanoPhysics Group is to fabricate nanoscale electronic and spintronic devices to better understand electron spin transport at nanoscale dimensions. Fabrication of successful nanoscale spintronic devices will lead to new technologies that will transform the present-day microelectronics industry.
The primary purpose of this position is to investigate the electronic and magnetic behavior of nanoscale half-metallic thin films. The role also includes the opportunity to fabricate nanoscale devices using these thin films, with a focus on understanding their transport properties at the nanoscale. Under the direction of a VSL Scientist and/or Physics Professor, the candidate will actively contribute to data analysis, publication of research findings, and mentoring of students.
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position is $45,000/Yr.
The initial appointment for this position will be for 1 year.
