We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the AP/AR Specialist role at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Perform payables, receivables, purchase orders and account management for both parish and preschool, ensuring timely payments, reimbursements, and postings
• Perform other accounting duties such as reconciling credit card statements, balancing both sides of the transactions, reconciling books of accounts and investigating and reconciling discrepancies to maintain clear and accurate financial records
• Initiate ACH payments and wire transfers
• Conduct month-end and year-end close, including reconciliation of deposits and bank statements
• Prepare detailed monthly BvA reports for Parish, Departments, and required ministries
• Provide DOO with initial analysis of parish finances on a monthly basis and assist in the creation of meeting materials for all counsel meetings
• Assist DOO with the development of the annual budget, including budgeting process, timeline, template and submission
• Ensure proper recording of contractor information and produce required 1099s
• Inform and comply with internal controls and proper GAAP and nonprofit accounting
• Coordinate with independent auditors for financial reviews
• Other office duties as requested and assigned
Education and Qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years of AP/AR experience, preferably in a non-profit organization
• Minimum 2 years of report creation & analytics experience
• SAGE Intacct experience a plus but not required
