We are seeking a Middle and High school Humanities teacher for the 2025/2026 school year. Job Description
The successful applicant will provide engaging and content-rich instruction in HRA's Humanities curriculum, collaborate well with colleagues, and be knowledgeable about classical pedagogy. A background in the Liberal Arts is preferred. The candidate should value a faithful Catholic education and understand how a Catholic worldview permeates the school day and curriculum. As stated in the school's mission, the teacher's role is to support parents who are the primary educators of their children.
Salary ranges from $43,000 - $50,000 depending on experience and education. Dental and vision insurance included.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
Possess, at minimum, a bachelor's degree
Embrace the Catholic mission and philosophy of the school
Be a practicing Catholic and a good role model for the students
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ideally, have at least one year of teaching experience or practicum at a classical school
Be capable of teaching several subjects well
Effectively manage the classroom and relevant administrative tasks
Responsibilities
Teach four core academic classes in math, history, theology, and Latin
Teach an enrichment course within your skillset, like chess, physical education, art, graphic design, etc.
Engage students in each subject, demonstrate the value of the Humanities in modern life, and invite the students to participate in Socratic discussions when appropriate
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and staff
Act professionally at school and during all school functions
Prepare daily lesson plans and relevant exams
