Position: President of Holy Family Regional School
Job Goal
The school president serves as the institutional leader responsible for the school’s long-range plan and vision. The president oversees the institutional advancement of the school, which includes implementation of the strategic plan, religious and spiritual leadership, school operations, advancement and community relations, financial management, and enrollment.
The school president collaborates with the principal and administrative team to ensure the long-term success of the school. The school president reports to the Board of Directors of Holy Family Regional School.
Job Responsibilities
Religious and Spiritual Leadership
- Establishes and maintains the religious vision of the school to promote an environment that ensures the school’s Catholic identity
- Monitors the expression of Catholic identity in collaboration with the Principal, Campus Minister and Faculty
- Cultivates parent/guardian partnerships to advance the mission of the school and the ministry of Catholic education
- Promotes a culture of dignity, integrity, and respect for each member of the school community
Strategic and Visionary Leadership
- Directs the school's strategic planning process
- Implements the school’s strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors, Principal and all stakeholders
- Provides regular oral and written communication to the Board and all stakeholders on ongoing progress of the strategic plan, new school initiatives, financial health, community and external relations, development efforts, and compliance with regulations
- Coordinates with the Principal on public relations efforts to enhance the school’s reputation and community relations
- Upholds the school’s vision and mission with the Board of Directors
- Serves as an ex-officio member of Board Committees, where appropriate
- Represents the school at district, regional, and national educational forums
- Attends required Archdiocesan Department of Catholic School meetings
School Operations
- Ensures compliance with diocesan and state educational standards and safety protocols
- Maintains consultative and collaborative relationships with the Principal and administrative team
- Develops facilities management plans including maintenance and growth initiatives
- Evaluates and provides feedback to the Principal, Advancement Staff, Director of Enrollment, Facilities Manager, and Business Manager
- Works in collaboration with the Principal and Human Resources Manager to oversee the staffing of the school
- Collaborates with all administrative staff on school operations
- Collaborates with the Principal to review and ensure compliance with state accrediting requirements
- Creates and maintains an aesthetically pleasing school environment
- Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion regarding school personnel, students, and general school matters
- Meets on a weekly basis with the principal during the school year to create and maintain channels of communication, trust, and a collaborative working relationship
Advancement and Community Relations
- Leads fundraising and development efforts, including capital campaigns and annual giving
- Cultivates relationships with donors, alumni, and community leaders
- Acts as the chief spokesperson for the school, managing public relations and media interactions
- Informs the Board of Directors, parents, staff, and other stakeholders of changes in archdiocesan policies and procedures
Financial Management
- Oversees the school's financial operations in collaboration with the Board, Principal and the Business Manager
- Ensures financial sustainability and integrity through sound fiscal management and transparent reporting
- Develops and submits a balanced annual operating budget for Board approval through the Finance Committee
- Supervises enrollment, marketing, and fundraising efforts
- Signs and executes all contracts and agreements, consistent with Archdiocesan directives
- Increases the participation, engagement, and contributions of benefactors
- Oversees the tuition assistance process
- Provides oversight for business operations and ensures annual audit
Enrollment and Marketing
- Oversees student recruitment, retention and enrollment processes in line with the school’s strategic goals
- Collaborates with marketing and admissions teams to promote the school and attract prospective students and families
Qualifications
- Practicing Roman Catholic, committed to the values and teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Minimum of a Master's degree (strongly preferred), with a background in education, business, or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience, preferably in Catholic or private school settings, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple aspects of school operations.
- Strong track record in development, including successful fundraising and community engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and collaborate with diverse groups of stakeholders.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of academic excellence, inclusion, and spiritual growth.
