Faith Formation Coordinator

1. Advertise and promote Faith Formation classes for children 1st through 12th grade.

2. Coordinate parish registration requirements with parish secretary.

3. Develop annual calendar for classes, retreats, parent meetings, sacraments and rehearsals.

4. Choose and order textbooks and catechist manuals.

5. Recruit and train volunteer catechists and encourage and record certification hours.

6. Recruit and train support staff: clerical and classroom aides, parking lot assistants.

7. Report all volunteers to Safe Environment Coordinator for screening.

8. Attend and promote diocesan meetings and retreats for catechist.

9. Coordinate with Youth Minister and OCIA director for sacramental preparation.

10. Be familiar with, and execute diocesan and parish policies regarding faith formation and sacrament preparation.

11. Monthly report to Pastor and Pastoral Council.

Safe Environment Coordinator

1. Maintain diocesan Safe Environment policies.

2. Be in frequent contact with parish groups to record and follow up with parish volunteers, i.e. catechists, aides, ushers, scouts, collection counters, cleaning crew, and other parish volunteers.

3. Coordinate with Faith Formation coordinator to provide annual Safe Environment lesson to children in Faith Formation and Youth Ministry.

4. Be familiar with, and execute diocesan and parish policies regarding Safe Environment protocols.

5. Monthly report to Pastor and Pastoral Council.

Adult Formation Coordinator

1. Develop and promote adult enrichment opportunities for parishioners.

2. Develop and promote Sacrament preparation for baptized Catholics.

3. Coordinate with Youth Minister regarding Confirmation policies.

4. Coordinate with Hispanic liaison to develop sacrament preparation classes for adults.

5. Maintain and promote subscriptions.

6. Monthly report to Pastor and Pastoral Council.

Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

1. Advertise, interview and meet with Inquirers into the Faith and ascertain their interest and needs, including baptismal status.

2. Coordinate with Pastor regarding annulment or marriage concerns.

3. Coordinate with Parish Secretary to schedule catechetical sessions and Rites of Initiation or Continuing Conversion.

4. Be familiar with, and execute diocesan and parish policies regarding OCIA.

5. Coordinate calendar and Rites with Pastor and Worship Committee.

6. Monthly report to Pastor and Pastoral Council.
