St. Mary’s School in Jackson, TN, is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Principal to lead our community in fostering a vibrant, Christ-centered learning environment rooted in the traditions of Classical Catholic Education. St. Mary’s School is a Catholic classical education institution serving students in grades PreK-8. As a school in the Catholic Diocese of Memphis, we strive to form the whole child—mind, body, and soul—through a rigorous classical curriculum infused with the beauty, truth, and goodness of the Catholic intellectual tradition. Additionally, we incorporate Catechesis of the Good Shepherd in the lower grades to nurture young children in their faith journey through hands-on, Montessori-based religious education.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide visionary leadership and oversight of all school operations, ensuring fidelity to the Catholic mission and classical educational model.
Cultivate a school culture that is rooted in Catholic identity, virtue formation, and a love for truth, beauty, and goodness.
Ensure the continued implementation and growth of the classical curriculum, including a strong focus on liberal arts, Socratic discussion, and Latin instruction.
Oversee and support the integration of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd in the lower grades, fostering spiritual development among younger students.
Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff who are passionate about classical education and the Catholic faith.
Work collaboratively with the pastor, school board, and Diocese of Memphis to advance the mission of the school.
Engage parents and the broader community as active partners in the education and faith formation of students.
Ensure sound fiscal management and responsible stewardship of school resources.
Maintain high academic and moral standards, ensuring that students receive a challenging and enriching educational experience.

Qualifications:

Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, committed to upholding Catholic teachings and values.
Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in Catholic education, preferably in a classical school setting.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a school setting, with a track record of effective administration and faculty development.
Strong understanding and advocacy for classical education principles, including a commitment to an integrated curriculum rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition.
Familiarity with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd or a willingness to learn and support its implementation.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
