Overview/Purpose:

Assist the Head of Treasury in fulfilling the daily, monthly, and annual financial operation of those organizations for which the Finance Treasury Operations is responsible. The tasks to be performed by the position will support the treasury function and underlying reporting requirements of organizations of the Archdiocese of New York. These tasks and responsibilities will be carried-out in a manner that is consistent with the religious, moral, and ethical principles of the Catholic Church.

Reports to: Head of Treasury

Responsibilities:

Create, distribute, and monitor the monthly invoices of the Treasury Office. Record receipts in Infor Lawson and QuickBooks.
Process daily deposits for the archdiocese and related entities
Preparation of daily and monthly Liquidity Reports utilizing the banks’ proprietary reporting systems.
Prepare upload for check reconciliation and review daily banking reports for Positive Pay exceptions. ACH review.
Process online banking functions (stop payments; request bank checks; etc.).
Preparation of AP vouchers for all transactions initiated from Finance Department to be paid by wire, ACH and check processing.
Process daily deposits for the archdiocese and related entities.
Backup for other Treasury Operations personnel.
Monitor bank accounts.
Check register.
Assist with special projects as assigned by the Head of Treasury.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
2 – 3 years of diversified accounting or finance.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; with special emphasis on QuickBooks and Excel.
Knowledge of computer-based accounting and payroll systems including Infor Lawson reporting enterprise.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently.
Ability to work well without supervision as well as with a team.

Compensation range for this position is: $70,000 - $80,000 annually.
This position is considered exempt and not eligible for overtime.
