Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota has openings at our Rochester Community Warming Center (RCWC). RCWC is a low-barrier emergency shelter for adults, 18 and older, experiencing homelessness. Individuals who stay at the RCWC are given a safe and warm place to sleep, access to a hot meal & drink, showers, and laundry.

We are currently hiring for 2 positions:

1 - PT Intake Shelter Advocate

7:30 PM to 11:00 PM/12:30AM
2-3 shifts per week, every other weekend, may include some holidays
Opportunity to pick up extra hours
$19.00 per hour

1 - Overnight Shetler Advocate

10-hour shift, 9:30 PM to 7:30AM
2-3 shifts per week, every other weekend, may include some holidays
Opportunity to pick up extra hours
$19.00 per hour

All positions require:

A High School diploma or GED
Experience in human services or related field preferred
Interested applicants must be capable of empathetic and professional relationship building
Advocating for diverse client needs and interests
Have the ability to de-escalate situations
Multi-task and must work well under pressure
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to pass a background check
