St. Bernard Preparatory School is seeking an experienced Admissions Director. We are a 7-12 grade day and boarding school on the grounds of St. Bernard Abbey in Cullman Alabama. As a Catholic School in the Benedictine tradition, applicants should have an appreciation for the mission and ministry of Catholic education.

The Admissions director will be responsible for:

a. Manage the enrollment process from inquiry through matriculation with a focus on student retention.

b. Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students and families, feeder schools, alumni, and school faculty and staff.

c. Meet admissions goals in tuition revenue and number of students.

d. Plan, prepare and present various events for prospective students and families. On- and off-campus events include interviews, campus tours, and recruitment fairs.

e. Manage the application process to ensure families complete the application, financial aid, and enrollment processes.

f. Keep detailed records of contacts and communication with prospective families.

g. Assure that data bases are kept current for applicants, publicity contacts, and feeder schools and parishes.

h. Assist in transitioning new students to St. Bernard Prep through orientation.

i. Some evening and weekend work required.

Requirements/Qualifications:

a. Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, with minimum 1 year experience in admissions and financial aid or related field. Experience in a boarding school setting particularly helpful.

b. Understands the recruitment cycle and is able to execute strategies to meet recruitment goals.

c. Energetic, organized, self-motivated, service oriented individual with strong interpersonal, communication, writing and presentation skills.

d. Understands and can articulate the value of a Catholic school education.

e. Experience in social media and digital advertising an added plus.

Reports to the Director of Development.

Compensation:

a. Base compensation dependent upon experience.
