Position Summary: The Director of Friends of St. Andrew is responsible for overseeing and managing the
day-to-day operations of this outreach ministry, which serves the community through various charitable
services. This role involves supporting guests in need, maintaining food and supply inventories,
managing donor relationships, working with volunteers, processing paperwork, and ensuring smooth
coordination with multiple organizations, including Queen of Peace Catholic Parish. The Director will
also be responsible for managing financial and operational aspects, including payments, building
maintenance, and compliance with organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Guest Services:
o Welcome and assist guests with their needs, offering support and resources available
through Friends of St. Andrew and other charities.
o Distribute food, clothing, mail and other supplies as needed.
2. Food Bank of the Rockies & Shamrock Inventory:
o Coordinate with the Food Bank of the Rockies to ensure consistent food supply and
distribution.
o Manage inventory and place regular orders with Shamrock Foods to keep shelves
stocked.
o Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory.
3. Volunteer Coordination:
o Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to support daily operations, including guest
services and inventory management.
o Ensure a positive and effective volunteer experience.
4. Donor Relations & Community Partnerships:
o Build and maintain relationships with donors, ensuring ongoing support for the ministry.
o Work with grocery stores, schools, and other charitable organizations to secure
resources and collaborate on community initiatives.

5. Financial Management & Bills:
o Oversee the financial aspects of the ministry, including processing bills and managing
the budget.
o Ensure that all bills related to the building, utilities, and operational expenses are paid
on time.

6. Inventory Management & Shopping:

o Regularly monitor inventory levels and conduct shopping trips to multiple stores to
restock necessary items.
o Ensure that the ministry has sufficient supplies to meet the needs of its guests.
7. Administration & Paperwork:
o Manage all paperwork and forms related to guest services, donor contributions, and
volunteer activities.
o Process incoming and outgoing mail for our guests, ensuring timely distribution.
8. Liaison with Queen of Peace Catholic Parish:
o Serve as the main point of contact between Friends of St. Andrew and Queen of Peace
Catholic Parish, ensuring alignment with church goals, values and mission.
o Collaborate on events and initiatives that support the church's outreach efforts.
9. Building Management & Coordination:
o Oversee the maintenance of the building, working with the building owner and service
providers to ensure it remains in good condition.
o Coordinate with multiple companies for building services and repairs as needed.
10. Data & Statistics:
o Track and report statistics related to guests served, inventory distributed, volunteer
hours, and donor contributions.
o Prepare regular reports to share with Queen of Peace Catholic Parish and other
stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in nonprofit management, outreach, or community service.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to manage volunteers and foster a positive working environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Financial management experience, including budgeting and invoice approval.
Knowledge of local resources, charities, and service providers.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various partners.
Proficiency in email communication and basic office software.
Work Environment: This role requires a mix of on-site work at Friends of St. Andrew's location, as well
as travel to local stores and partner organizations. The Director will also work closely with Queen of
Peace Catholic Parish and various community stakeholders.
