Overview
This position is located in Wilmington, Delaware. The Catholic Diocese of Wilmington is seeking a CYM Sports Coordinator to coordinate all CYM athletic programs and ensure compliance with Diocesan Safe Environments standards.

The schedule for this full-time position is 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends to support events.

Essential Functions:

Acts as liaison to leaders of CYM parish/school-based athletic programs by providing assistance and support to the Parish/School Athletic Associations.
Coordinates the calendar for each sport and secures appropriate permits and facilities for CYM athletic events with appropriate parish, city, county, and state contacts.
Addresses and documents disciplinary issues regarding CYM athletic competitions, practices, tryouts, etc. and determines final resolution of issues.
Conducts pre-season and post-season, sports-specific meetings with CYM coordinators and representatives of the Parish/School Athletic Associations.
Oversees paid CYM sport coordinators.
Conducts thorough evaluation of each sport annually, including necessary reviews and/or revisions of CYM Athletic Handbook, website, and sports-specific rules.
Prepares athletic sections of CYM budget and maintains regular accounting to stay within approved budget, including prompt and accurate submission of vouchers, invoices, and other payments.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a High School diploma, or equivalent, and three years of experience in administering athletic activities or programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office/365, Google Suite, and Internet.
Preferred experience in managerial and/or professional office setting.
Ability to travel throughout the footprint of the Diocese of Wilmington.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a team environment.
Ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse cultural, socio-economic, and ethnic backgrounds.
Willingness to consent to and ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with federal/state/local laws.
