CHRISTIAN FORMATION COORDINATOR

Job Duties:
The mission of the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington is to spread the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. In the faithful pursuit of this mission, Saint Elizabeth Church in Rockville is seeking a full-time Christian Formation Coordinator to administer programs for families including the Christian Formation Program and sacramental preparation for First Sacraments and Confirmation.
The CFC reports to the parish Director of Christian Formation. Under his or her supervision, the CFC is the primary coordinator of Children Formation Programs.

Administrative duties include:
-Program selection and implementation, including ordering program materials and books.
-Implement Sacramental introduction sessions and workshops for parents and participants.
-Oversee VBS.
-Maintain proper records of participation including database entry and inputting data into the Sacramental registries.
-Manage volunteers - catechists and VBS leaders.
-Agree to a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends.

Education Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in religious education or theology.

Job qualifications:
-Committed Christian who is faithful to Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
-Experience as a parish catechist.
-Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a catechetical team.
-Strong communication skills; social media skills desirable.
-Microsoft Office experience required; ParishSoft experience a plus.
