SUMMARY: Manages the production of marketing communication deliverables in support of key fundraising efforts. Develops a wide variety of communications, with a growing emphasis on multimedia storytelling, that inform, persuade, and promote across multiple platforms. Maintains project tracking and asset filing systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates with clients and creative teams to develop campaigns and marketing materials to support fundraising efforts. Tracks and reports on progress of marketing communications projects. Interfaces with print and production vendors for project execution.
- Writes content for and manages production of original and engaging communications, fundraising, and marketing pieces, including collateral, websites, newsletters, digital media, videos, presentations, advertisements, annual reports, and event materials.
- Manages email marketing campaigns using NXT and/or other digital marketing platforms. Creates, test, and distributes communications. Tracks and reports on performance.
- Maintains online filing system of photography, videos, and other digital assets.
- Schedules and coordinates video and photography projects.
- Edits and proofreads communications.
- Assists in managing donor events.
- Manages multiple assignments and projects with various timelines while being flexible in working with deadlines and schedules.
- Performs other duties as assigned in support of BCDS’s objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, Marketing, or English.
- Minimum 3 years professional experience in marketing communications for a nonprofit or service organization.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Outstanding writing skills with demonstrated success in crafting effective marketing communications.
- Meticulous attention to detail, deadline oriented, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple duties.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop positive working relationships with Archdiocese personnel, senior executive-level staff and donors, and outside organizations.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
- Strong knowledge of print production process.
- Expertise with online platforms for content management, e-newsletters services, and social media.
- Video editing experience preferred; knowledge of PhotoShop and InDesign is a plus.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of the Catholic faith and willingness to support and effectively communicate the mission of the Catholic Church.
PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE ELEMENTS:
- Ability to use a computer keyboard for up to 8 hours/day.
- Ability to sit for up to 8 hours/day.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
