Job Description
Observation and knowing each child is vital to meeting children's needs, and you will have the opportunity to hone your observation skills to engage the children.
You will work alongside the Lead Toddler Guide/Catechist to prepare and maintain a beautiful and ordered classroom. This responsibility includes everything from preparing works for the children in the morning to assisting them as they clean up spills.
You will have the opportunity to create a warm, supportive, and calm atmosphere by guiding children as they bake bread, preparing flowers for their flower arranging, and cultivating their independence.
You will assist the Lead Guide/Catechist with record-keeping by observing children and noting their work, needs, and challenges.
Located on 23 acres with woods, barns, open fields, and a pond in a small mountain town, the Center immerses our children in beauty inside and outside the classrooms. Passionate and devoted adults lead our Center, and we are blessed with open-hearted families who spend time together both at John XXIII and in the wider community.
Serving children and fellow adults in this life-giving community is a joy.
