Summary of Role:
The Director of Recruitment - Schools will be responsible to design and implement strategies to identify and recruit principals and teachers for our Catholic elementary school system. The ideal candidate will bring innovative ideas and a data-driven approach to this critical role. This position will collaborate closely with the Deputy Superintendent for Academics, Office of Catholic Schools Communications and Marketing, and HR Operations to ensure that our elementary schools have access to high-quality principals and outstanding teachers across all subject areas and grade levels. The Director of Recruitment - Schools actively supports, demonstrates, and models a passion for the Catholic school mission, education, and leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract top principal and teacher talent.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local universities to create pathways for students to join our system, creating a strong pipeline of principal and teacher candidates.
- Ensure rigorous standards are applied to select high-caliber school leaders and teachers.
- Work closely with the marketing and communications team to promote employment opportunities.
- Attend career fairs and recruitment events at partner institutions.
- Act as liaison with Human Resources, HR Operations and Talent Management to ensure required hiring practices and legal requirements are followed consistently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of employment recruiting experience in an academic setting.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment technologies, ideally using UKG.
- Knowledge and experience in developing talent pipelines and sourcing strategies including online, direct sourcing, and social media to enhance employer brand and drive sourcing of key talent in an academic setting.
- Strong relationship management. The ability to effectively partner with internal stakeholders to influence and drive outcomes.
- Strong time management, organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a high volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and encouraging demeanor.
- Travel to colleges and universities for engagements, job fairs, and meetings.
