GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for implementing marketing communications efforts and supporting planned giving and related fundraising activities. This exempt-level position aims to enhance awareness and knowledge of CFAD’s mission by managing outreach, donor stewardship, and strategic communication initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute marketing communications plans and campaigns.
- Create and oversee content for digital platforms, print materials, and media outreach
- Plan, promote, and coordinate events and webinars.
- Serve as a liaison to Catholic organizations, providing planned giving support.
- Conduct donor research, maintain databases, and implement stewardship initiatives.
- Manage "Live to Give" stewardship curriculum.
- Oversee donor recognition and appreciation activities in alignment with CFAD policies
- Track and report on campaign performance and donor impact.
COMMUNICATION/CLIENT CONTACT: Communicate regularly with donors, Catholic organizations, and CFAD staff to support planned giving and marketing efforts. Act as a representative of CFAD, fostering relationships with stakeholders, including parishes and Catholic schools. Develop and distribute materials such as newsletters, social media content, and event promotions.
SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to proofread with accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, graphic design software, and CRM tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
- Must handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Practicing Catholic who embraces CFAD’s mission and values
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Standard office environment with occasional travel to events, parishes, and other locations within the Archdiocese of Dubuque. Flexibility to attend evening or weekend events as necessary.
