The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the ECS president, the principal oversees daily school operations, provides instructional leadership, supports faculty development, fosters strong parent relationships, and promotes continuous improvement. The principal collaborates with school leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives, fosters effective communication, and ensures a safe, respectful environment for all students and staff. The principal is called to inspire and lead faculty, staff, and students to uphold the core values of the ECS traditions and culture, where every child is valued, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Other critical responsibilities include ensuring alignment with educational standards and best practices and effectively managing resources to support school programs and activities. The position is essential to overseeing and maintaining school growth while conducting staff evaluations that support and promote professional development and foster accountability within a collaborative culture. The principal will support the school's Catholic and Dominican mission as expressed through its Sinsinawan heritage.

The successful candidate will...
- Be a practicing Catholic in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church.
- Have a master's degree or higher in Educational Leadership or Administration.
- Possess (or be eligible to receive) a State of Wisconsin principal certificate, including required graduate coursework in educational leadership.
- Possess (or be eligible to receive) a State of Wisconsin teaching certificate.
- Must complete VIRTUS Safe Environment and background check with the Diocese of Madison upon hire.
- Have a minimum experience of five years as an administrator in a K-8 school setting and five years of teaching experience (preferred).
- Have experience working in a president/principal model of leadership (preferred).
