Maintenance & Custodial Technician wanted for a full-time position with a Roman Catholic Parish in North Haven. This position requires a dedicated, responsible, and self-motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team. Must have the ability to perform a variety of custodial duties, general maintenance and minor repairs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, cleaning & maintaining churches and parish buildings on a daily basis, setting up for events, some outside maintenance, deep cleaning projects as needed and other miscellaneous jobs to help ensure that the buildings, grounds, and facilities are safe, clean and well maintained.
This position requires the ability to work with a flexible schedule around parish events, travel between church locations and be available for several hours on the weekends as needed. Must have attention to detail, be reliable and highly trustworthy. Position requires physical exertion to manually stoop, bend, reach, move, lift, carry, pull, or push objects and climb ladders. This position requires a positive attitude, courteous demeanor, and ability to engage respectfully and professionally with co-workers, outside contractors, visitors and parishioners.
