Our mission is to serve and partner with our families, parishes, and communities as we focus on the spiritual, intellectual, moral, and social development of our children.We are seeking a lead after school program coordinator to join our team as we provide a positive environment for our kindergarten through 8th grade students after their regular school day has concluded. This position requires availability Monday through Friday 2:00pm to 6:00pm as well as availability on snow days and additional non-school days (when childcare is open) that are scheduled during the school year.Flexible summer employment options are available.ResponsibilitiesCoordinates activities for students attending the after school programsPlans for and prepares materials for activities each day before the start of programmingEngages with students from 3:15pm to 6:00pm providing supervision of students and engagement in planned activitiesCollaborates with the child care director to ensure quality programming and to train new staff members who join the Saints and Eagles Club after school teamInventories the rooms and requests suppliesMaintains the cleanliness of the childcare spacesPractices positive, consistent discipline in the after school care setting and contacts parents when necessaryKeeps the child care director informed of areas of need and concernActs as a witness to the Gospel valuesDemonstrates professional work habits by regular attendance, honoring schedules, organizing work, and conducting assigned tasks in an effective and efficient mannerSupports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and DioceseQualificationsExperience working with school age childrenExperience in a childcare setting preferredHigh school diplomaRequirementsVirtus trained or willingness to complete prior to start dateComplete the childcare licensing requirements through the State of Michigan
