Summary of Position Functions and Mission:
The Foundation Director is responsible for sourcing and raising funds to fulfill the mission of the Holy Cross Village Foundation. The mission of the Foundation is to raise funds that help support the programs and services of Holy Cross Village at Notre Dame. The Foundations mission is centered on our commitment to serve others as a ministry of the Brothers of Holy Cross.
Essential Functions:
1. Solicits funds through ongoing cultivation of gifts and contributions for Holy Cross Village Foundation.
2. Utilizes donor management software to record, track and acknowledge all gifts received.
3. Stewards donors for potential new gifts.
4. Prepares grant applications as needed.
5. Conducts research for grant applications.
6. Works to grow the Legacy Society and stewards this group through an annual recognition event.
7. Works with the Holy Cross Village Board on Foundation activities as identified by the Board.
8. Arranges Holy Cross Village Foundation board meetings and prepares agendas, invites, and board distribution packets.
9. Prepares the minutes of Foundation board meetings.
10. Prepares reports for all Board on Foundation gifts, contributions and results.
11. Reconciles Foundation donations and activity with accounting reports with the Finance Department.
12. Meets with Constituents, (current and past HCV residents, families. Staff and foundations) to review current and future campus endeavors.
13. Manages Foundation Fund activity (i.e., Jazz Enrichment and other designated funds).
14. Promotes appeals for specific funds as agreed upon and approved.
15. Works with Human Resource on staff payroll deduction contributions to the HCV Foundations.
16. Educates constituents of HCV Foundation.
17. Attends professional development opportunities as the need arises.
18. Attends internal Coffee Break, Leadership, and other meetings as the job requires.
19. Coordinates the content, design, production, and distribution of an annual Impact Report of the HCV Foundation.
20. Works with the Marketing Department to design and update the HCV Foundation pages on the HCV website.
21. Keeps the President of Holy Cross Village up to date on activities, revenue, and all relative information and obtains guidance and input.
22. Complies with Holy Cross Village’s privacy practices and procedures related to resident and other constituent records and all state/federal privacy laws as outlined by HIPAA.
23. Hires, trains, and manages the Administrative Assistant of Development.
24. Implement and execute annual fund-raising plan to meeting fundraising goals
25. Plan and execute special events
