Summary:
To lead and oversee the Patient Services Department and Patient Process, creating and maintaining a culture of excellence.
Program Responsibilities:
1. Recruit and manage the staffing of the Patient Services Department to include correct placement, initial and ongoing training oversight, and annual performance evaluations.
2. Lead regular Patient Services Staff Meetings.
3. Lead and coordinate regular training meetings to provide routine, consistent Patient Services training to all volunteers and Patient Services Staff.
4. Ensure Patient Process quality control. Oversee the supply, updates, and edits of all patient process related forms and brochures. Update and educate all staff and volunteers on any changes to the Patient Process and ensure compliance.
5. Ensure quality control of patient care through metrics, data review, regular communication and contact with Patient Services Staff and Volunteers.
6. This position requires a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Personnel Responsibilities:
1. Keep Leadership Team informed of ongoing updates and information regarding the Patient Services Department to include identification of areas in need of improvements.
2. Provide routine connection and availability to Patient Services Staff.
3. Coordinate efforts to ensure effective communication and cooperation between Patient Services Staff and Medical Services staff via regular meetings with the Medical Services Manager.
Fiscal Responsibilities:
1. Assist Executive Director with Budget oversight for Patient Services Department.
Community Responsibilities:
1. Attend community events and assist with fundraisers required by Executive Director.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Attend all staff meetings, volunteer training meetings, and events.
2. Serve in the role of Shift Supervisor.
Qualifications:
1. Meet all requirements located on the Lifeline of Berks County application.
2. Management and Leadership experience required.
3. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
4. Excellent organization skills.
