Loyola High School of Detroit is a Catholic school in the Jesuit tradition. We nurture a culture of hope and academic

Primary Duties/Responsibilities
Plan and implement creative lessons and inspire students to learn in a well management classroom.
Teach and develop student skills in the areas of biology for freshman and physics for seniors.
Demonstrate instructional practices that engage students in conceptual thinking, promote problem solving
and creativity, and challenge students to achieve high standards of content mastery.
Take ownership for student academic progress and show an active interest in student achievement.
Provide individual and small-group instruction to adapt delivery to meet the needs of students with
varying academic skill levels.
Communicate timely and effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Collaborate with staff and other professionals to plan lessons and meet student needs.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Understanding of Ignatian pedagogy and commitment to Jesuit values.
Excellent interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
Ability to lead and inspire a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff.
Familiarity with educational technology and data-driven decision-making.
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree and Michigan teaching certification or pathway to certification required.
