Mission Statement: The mission of the nursery is to provide childcare during the Sunday 10:30am Mass in a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for the children of Holy Disciples.
Purpose: Holy Disciples Catholic Church Community provides a nursery in order to offer convenience for parents using the parish space. Parents are allowed to grow in their Christian experience and faith with the knowledge that their child(ren) is(are) in a happy, healthy environment. They can focus on the Word of the Lord, contributing to the mission of Holy Disciples Church in building a stronger faith community.
Objective: Toys and activities will promote learning and support faith formation principles (no toys promoting violence, witchcraft, or secular views).
The age range for children that can be dropped off in the nursery is age 1 or can walk steadily, up through age 4
.
Major Responsibilities
- Assures that activities provided for children age 1 through 4 includes, but not limited to reading to children, simple coloring with various mediums, drawing, handwork, songs or similar activities.
- Assists children to develop habits of caring for and picking up and putting away toys, books or other items.
- Monitors the play area for safety and order.
- Participates in the cleaning and preparing of the childcare room so it is ready for the following week.
- Demonstrate responsibility
- Exhibit patience and reliability
- Ability to remain calm in challenging or stressful situations
- Genuine passion for working with children
- Babysitters should be 18 years or older with experience
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
