This is a full-time salaried position working 7:30AM - 2:30PM Monday through Friday. The position will be eligible for employment benefits offered by the archdiocese of Atlanta.
The Outreach supervisor will be the frontline face of the Shrine's outreach ministries. The ideal candidate is a self-starting and compassionate individual who will interact with the Shrine outreach clientele in a positive manner. The Outreach supervisor must also provide support for the Shrine volunteers who will be working most of the outreach activities. The Outreach supervisor will report to the Outreach coordinator.
Daily Tasks include monitoring all activities in the Parish Hall and Kitchen. Several groups use these areas, and it is the responsibility of the Outreach supervisor to anticipate and monitor the needs of these groups. The Outreach supervisor must also serve in a supervisory capacity over any part time assistants and volunteers,
Responsibilities:
Morning Sandwich Ministry
Open facility
Work with volunteers and/or Shrine staff to:
o Prepare coffee, and stage sandwiches and snack bags for distribution.
o Distribute coffee and sandwiches to clients
o Assemble snack bags for next days distribution
o Receive and store sandwich and snack bag donations.
o Rotate sandwich inventories.
Shrine Community Market
Monitor food bank deliveries
Put away delivered items for use in Shrine Community Market or St. Francis Table Saturday Soup Kitchen
Coordinate distribution of excess items to authorized charities
Aid Community Market volunteers with customers during actual market hours.
Parish Hall and Kitchen
Maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
Other Responsibilities (TBD)
• Manage part-time staff coverage of church hall outreach activities (if applicable)
• Ensure proper recording of food deliveries, food distribution and fridge/freezer temperatures (and others as necessary)
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary within the scope of outreach.
