The Diocese of Lake Charles is looking for a dedicated and friendly Front Desk Customer Support Specialist / Live Chat Agent to join our remote team. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service and support to parishioners and visitors through various communication channels, including live chat and email. As the first point of contact, the ideal candidate should have a warm demeanor and a passion for helping others, ensuring that all inquiries are addressed promptly and efficiently. This position requires a deep understanding of the Diocese's programs and services to offer accurate information and support. The Front Desk Customer Support Specialist will work closely with other team members to enhance the overall experience of our community and strengthen the connection between the Diocese and its members.
- Handle incoming inquiries through live chat and email with professionalism and empathy
- Provide accurate information about church programs, services, events, and resources
- Assist in resolving issues and complaints effectively and courteously
- Document and track customer interactions in the support database
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless flow of information
- Contribute to improving processes and creating a positive customer experience
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience in customer service or support roles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Familiarity with live chat tools and customer support software is a plus
- A passion for serving the community and knowledge of the Catholic faith is desirable
