The Catholic Diocese of Marquette seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant to join the Department Evangelization and Catechesis in Marquette, MI. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide essential support in all matters regarding Evangelization and Catechesis throughout the Diocese of Marquette.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Field and respond to questions and general inquiries that come into the department.
- Coordinate meeting requests for the Department Supervisor.
- Understand the departmental goals to discuss the mission effectively and efficiently.
- Manage the Official Sacramental Register.
- Serve as liaison for the Faith Formation Coordinators throughout the Diocese.
- Manage and coordinate special events including outreach and logistics for the events.
- Conduct standard administrative duties to support the department.
- Assist in organizing efforts to maximize relationships and connections with other departments/entities.
- Manage the organization of Department Diocesan Boards.
SCHEDULE This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week. The specific hours worked are flexible.
WAGE The Catholic Diocese of Marquette puts great value in the Administrative Assistant position by offering a starting pay of $19.00 per hour.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or management preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in general administrative assistance preferred.
- Must be willing to serve the mission of the Catholic Church.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to plan, facilitate, direct, and delegate.
