Position: Onsite Temporary Camp Staff

General Introduction
Each position employed with CYO Camps and Guest Services helps to extend the ministry of the Archbishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description.
General Summary Of Essential Purpose
To implement camp's food service program; Cleans and maintains kitchen and dining hall areas.
Essential Position Duties
- Implement an outlined food program based on morally and environmentally conscious ideals.
- Give direction to any additional support staff.
- Participate in overall camp staff training.
- Follow approved menu plan provided by Food Service Manager.
- Use appropriate equipment to follow local health standards.
- Function as general all around cook and dishwasher for all meals and special events.
- In seasonal operation, clean and prepare food service areas for use, close kitchen down for off-season.
- Prepare and serve tasteful meals and snacks based on provided menu in sufficient quantity, minimizing waste.
- Use kitchen equipment safely.
- Operate electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Clean dishes, food contact surfaces, kitchen, and dining area.
- Report all concerns and problems to the Seasonal Head Cook.
- Maintain a clean and organized camp environment, including, but not limited to performing regular cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring all facilities comply with health and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Willingness and ability to support the mission of the Church by extending the ministry of the Archbishop.
- A good example for youth in appearance, attitudes, as well as in moral, ethical and spiritual behavior.
Experience
- Preferred previous experience cooking or in the food industry.
Other Elements
- Commitment to the mission and values of CYO.
- Enthusiasm for living, working, and praying in community.
- Ability to work under pressure in time constraints.
- Must be able to lift/unload/move food and supplies.
- Current CPR/First Aid and Food Handlers required or willingness to obtain prior to camp season.
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and live on site in rustic facilities while programs are in session.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
