Position: Onsite Temporary Camp Staff
Location: Monroe, WA
Duration: June 19, 2025, to August 8, 2025
GENERAL INTRODUCTION:
Each position employed with CYO Camps helps to extend the ministry of the Archbishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE:
To implement and run specific camps focused on Mountain Biking and introducing new youth to the sport.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES:
- Lead specific cabin groups on exploring camp via bike
- Has knowledge of bike maintenance and repair
- When not assigned to a specific cabin offers biking as a choice
- Helps to create and maintain trails specifically for mountain biking
- Follows and maintains safety protocols based on camp and American Camping Association guidance
- Constantly monitors camper interactions and enforces safety rules
- When not directly responsible for programming at their assigned program area helps out with lodge duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and organized camp environment, including, but not limited to performing regular cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring all facilities comply with health and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Primary:
- Bike maintenance
- Can ride simple trails and dirt roads.
Experience:
- Mountain biking experience
Other Elements:
- Commitment to the mission and values of CYO.
- Ability to work under pressure in time constraints.
- Must be able to lift/move course elements.
- Willingness to pitch in with other general camp duties when needed, like moving luggage, and cleaning areas other than the kitchen and dining hall.
- Current CPR/First Aid
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
